Introduction
The webshop system 21.COMMERCE supports themes to change the shop design quickly and easily. To do that, themes are loaded into the system as packages and are activated. Creating an own theme is only possible with the full version of PepperShop.
In the following chapters we take a look at how to use themes in the 21.COMMERCE administration and also how a theme are structured.
Manage Themes
Themes are managed in 21.COMMERCE in the shop administration in the menu Layout-Management -> Themes.
View Details of a Theme
For each theme there is a detailed view which shows preview images and a description. Among other things, you will also find the 21.COMMERCE version for which the theme was created.
For the detailed view, move the mouse over the middle of the preview image in the overview and click on show details. If the theme has several preview images, these are displayed in a slider.
Activate Theme
To activate a theme of your choice, click on the corresponding button of the respective theme.
If activated, all layout management settings stored in the chosen theme are being applied. Settings which are not part of the chosen theme are not being changed. So it is a good idea to start with a resetted default theme. Now, the shop system uses the HTML templates and images contained in the theme package.
Change Active Theme
If the active theme does not meet your expectations, you can activate another theme at any time or switch back to the standard 21.COMMERCE theme. The data of the previous theme will still be available. So you can switch back and forth between themes at any time.
Reset Theme
If you have activated a theme and made your own changes that you want to undo, proceed as follows: Click on Reset Design. This is only displayed for the active theme.
