Automatic bookings (through customer documents or supplier invoices) and manual bookings can be made using exchange rates.
In AbaNinja there are automatic exchange rates for the foreign currencies Euro (EUR) and US Dollar (USD). Via an interface to the European Central Bank, these exchange rates are updated once a week and can be seen under Settings > Accounting > Currency.
With the Advanced Accounting add-on module, you have the option of entering manual exchange rates in various currencies.
Manual Entry
When you enter a manual entry to an account in a foreign currency under Accounting > Account Statement, the corresponding exchange rate is displayed and converted when you enter the amount.
The exchange rate can be manually overwritten here.
Automatic Entry
If payments, customer or supplier invoices are created or imported in foreign currencies, they are automatically entered into AbaNinja accounting. If an exchange rate has been entered in the settings, the amounts are automatically converted.
The amount and the exchange rate can be seen in the account statement or journal. To do this, move the mouse pointer over the corresponding amount.
