What is an opening balance?

In addition to the balance sheet and income statement, the opening balance sheet is also available under Accounting > Report.

If the balances carried forward have been entered for the financial year, they will be shown here.

The opening balance sheet serves as an overview of the assets and liabilities and, in the event of differences between them, helps to quickly determine where these are not balanced.

Like the balance sheet and the income statement, the opening balance sheet can also be output as a PDF or downloaded as an Excel file (XLS).

Requirements for the opening balance sheet:
