If an AbaNinja account is opened with Switzerland* as the country, a subset of the 126 most important and most frequently used accounts based on the official Swiss SME chart of accounts is created by default.
* Germany: SKR 03 / SKR 04
It is possible to replace this standard SME chart of accounts with the Abacus ERP chart of accounts, so that AbaNinja can work with the same chart of accounts as Abacus ERP. Here you will learn step by step how to import and update such a chart of accounts.
Requirements
- There is a connection between AbaNinja and Abacus Financial Accounting: How do I activate the connection to Abacus Financial Accounting?
- There must be no entries on the AbaNinja account.
- At least the Abacus version 2023 with patch date =>15.11.2023 is available.
Import Abacus ERP chart of accounts
Under Settings > Accounting > Chart of Accounts, the default SME chart of accounts must first be replaced.
In the next step you can import the Abacus ERP chart of accounts with Import chart of accounts (AMID). You also have the option to select another predefined AbaNinja chart of accounts.
During an import, the account proposals are also deleted and must be regenerated or entered. AbaNinja can only be used when all account proposals have been defined.
During generation, the system tries to find existing default account proposals in the new chart of accounts.
Incomplete account proposals must be entered manually. For this, the corresponding account proposal must be selected and stored with the desired account.
Update chart of accounts
If the Abacus connection is active and the chart of accounts in Abacus ERP has been changed, these changes can also be transferred to the chart of accounts in AbaNinja. For example, an account can be added or renamed by the trustee in the Abacus ERP and this change is then also implemented in the AbaNinja chart of accounts.
To do this, the chart of accounts must be updated in AbaNinja under Settings > Accounting > Chart of Accounts via the action menu. The prerequisite is always that all entered accounts are also included in the chart of accounts to be updated.
