How can I customise the chart of accounts?

If an AbaNinja account is opened with Switzerland* as a country, a subset of the 126 most important and commonly used accounts based on the official Swiss SME chart of accounts is created by default.

Activation of additional accounts

If additional accounts are required, these can be activated as soon as a paid subscription has been activated or there is an active connection to Abacus Financial Accounting (AMID). In this case, additional accounts of the SME chart of accounts can be activated in the settings under Chart of accounts > Create account.

There are also certain placeholders or reserve accounts (labelled "Reserve") that can be used individually. Further or individual accounts outside the available SME chart of accounts are not possible.

Favourites

It is possible to mark certain bookkeeping accounts as favourites with an asterisk. This helps to simplify the process and makes it easier to select accounts on the various forms.

These accounts are prioritised on the various forms (e.g. supplier document or customer invoice import; account statement; journal).
