The following corrections and improvements were implemented with this AbaSalary update:
Corrections
- Corrected: The input field for the IBAN was marked red or as an error before an IBAN was entered (affects employee beneficiary account and company payment centre).
- When entering a QR-IBAN, a message now appears explaining why this IBAN cannot be used. Future support for QR-IBAN is being planned.
- Solved: An unexpected error appeared when releasing analyses via DeepV.
Improvements
- The loading time in the billing overview for the current or a selected month has been shortened. Further optimisations will be made in the coming months and these should also speed up the change to the detailed view.
- In the billing, open side panels are automatically closed as soon as you switch to other programme items in the main navigation.
- There is now also a "private participation" wage type for benefits in kind and non-cash benefits. This reduces tax offsetting and was requested by customers.t.
- The wage types for the reduction in offsetting fringe benefits are again shown separately.
- The new rates for Geneva's cantonal maternity insurance (AMat) have been filed.
- The VAT rates valid from 1 January 2024 have been added. Note: The names of the system wage types will be adjusted with the January 2024 update.
- The "LPCFam" wage types for employees and employers can also be permanently overwritten by entering them in the personnel master data if required.
- In December, reference is made to the creation of wage statements before the month is definitively closed. We recommend checking the wage statement definitions (comment texts, etc.) before final processing.
- New LOB solution: We offer extended settings for payroll accounting from calendar year 2024. The new settings must be made before the January payroll run. Further information can be found in the following article here.
- General information on the annual financial statements and the year-end can be found here.
Known Problems
- In some cases there were again rounding differences in the 13th month's pay. In such cases, the wage type should be overwritten manually in the payroll run. We have corrected this for 2024 and have now also eliminated the last cases of rounding differences.
- The settlement status is not displayed correctly when using ELM.
The checkbox for "Monthly declaration (ELM)" disappears at certain steps but reappears when the
page is refreshed (F5).
The checkbox for "Yearly declaration (ELM)" is not displayed at all.
However, the submission of ELM declarations is working fine and can be checked in the "Salary declaration" section. - When using the "definitely set preceding month" function, the status of previous months is not automatically loaded. To display the correct status, you will need to refresh the page (F5) afterwards.
