Updates May 2025 - Release Notes

The following corrections and improvements were implemented with this AbaSalary update:

Corrections

• Resolved: In some cases, the message "Process terminated incorrectly" (without further information or details) or "Sorry, an error has occurred" appeared. The cause was a technical problem on our side, which we fixed on 10.5.2025 23:00. After this time, the messages should no longer appear (if they do, please report it via the support form).

• Company logos with transparent backgrounds are now displayed correctly in the payroll form. If you are already using a faulty logo (transparent areas = black), you will need to add the logo again.

• In the personnel master, BVG insurances could be saved with the "Code-independent" selection. This resulted in no valid insurance / pension plan being determined in the payroll. The entry is no longer selectable (for code-independent BVG insurances, the "NoCode" selection can be used without hesitation).

• Personnel master - payroll data: Adjustment of dialog size so that scroll bars are no longer displayed.

• Insurance - standard insurance: Error in the assignment dialog fixed.

• Insurance - calculation sizes: Display error when selecting the year axis eliminated.

• Company - addresses: The history for address entries is visible again.

• The wrong link text in the ELM widget on the dashboard has been corrected.

• In the dark design, the correct AbaSalary logo is now displayed.

Improvements

• New Payroll Process Flow
  • Prepare payroll slips; prepared payroll slips are always marked as draft (watermark)
  • Definitively set payroll slips; finalizes the payroll slip and removes the "draft" print
  • Only definitive payroll slips can be transmitted via ELM. Additionally, only definitive payroll slips should be handed out to employees.
  • Changes to finalized payroll slips can only be made after prior cancellation of the corresponding payroll slips.
  • The mentioned process steps can still be performed either in the personnel master (for individual employees) or in the December payroll (for all employees).
  • These adjustments are primarily made to maintain ELM compliance. Further detail improvements will be made in the payroll area by the end of the year.
• BVG: Contributions (%) can now be stored individually per insurance contract in the insurance master.
• The phone list now also shows mobile phone and e-mail (contact details from personnel master).
• Selection option for active employees for the birthday list.
  Tip: All personnel lists can be exported to Excel files if needed.
• AbaSalary is now also available in a dark design (dark appearance). Can be set via the user menu at the top right (Options).

Known Problems

• Employee selection in the monthly journal
• Widget "Events" still shows no content.

Notes

• We have received reports of several incorrect translations. Please disable the automatic translators of Google Chrome or Firefox. This is not an issue with AbaSalary.

In addition to the corrections mentioned above, >71 further optimisations have been made.
