New features February 2021 - Release Notes

The following corrections and improvements were implemented with this AbaSalary update:

Corrections

• The development of the wage totals on the overview page again shows the current months.

• Some fields for withholding tax could not be saved or deleted correctly in the personnel master. These problems have been eliminated.
• Withholding tax data can now also be entered for Swiss cross-border commuters.
• Detailed items are now also listed in the withholding tax evaluation.
• When changing the user language, logging out is no longer necessary (the language can be adjusted in the user menu at the top right).
• E-mail addresses with special characters sometimes prevented AbaSalary from opening. The permitted mail formats have been supplemented.

Improvements

• The simulation of payroll accounting is now only possible for non-settled persons and periods. Reason: The simulation in already settled months can deviate from the actual settlement. This led to numerous enquiries in support.
• New payroll types for the offsetting of benefits in kind & non-cash benefits.
• The correction of BVG contributions can now be made for employees and employers.
• The deduction of family allowances in the canton of Geneva can be overtaxed if payment is not made via the compensation office.
• The withholding tax rates for 2021 have been updated (changes from 5.2.2021 are taken into account).
• The text for the payment reason will be suggested depending on the employee language.
• Documents for the personnel dossiers can be added without a description text (no longer a mandatory field).
• The seniority and birthday lists can now be output in the desired order..
• When opening AbaSalary, the insurance time axis shown is based on the selected salary year (start with year 20xx).

Known Problems

• When evaluating entry documents, the planned setting for summarisation is missing (available with March update).

Note

In addition to the above-mentioned corrections, more than 37 additional optimizations were made.
