Dear AbaSalary users
This version features a new design for the first time. In this article we have summarised the most important changes for you.
A lot has also happened in the background. The current version is the basis for numerous planned improvements and new functions, which we will roll out in the coming months.
One example is Time Recording, for which the first parts of the program are already visible (as of June 2023, the scope of functions is still limited to the management of target and working times).
Personnel master
Employee overview
The employee overview shows either the active or inactive employees (depending on whether they have joined or left). The avatar is framed in green for active employees and in red for employees who have left or not yet joined. The former card display is no longer available.
New employees can be entered via the blue button on the right above the employee overview.
New Header
Displays function, wage type, employment level and entry/exit date at a glance. The employee picture can now be inserted or replaced with a click on the avatar.
The navigation within the personnel data is now located just below the header area.
The < > symbols at the top right can be used to scroll through the employees. The respective page is retained. The person icon between the arrow symbols takes you to the staff overview.
Time Recording
New view "Time recording". Shows the time and holiday balances of an employee at the selected key date. The time worked is logged by means of clocking in and clocking out. Provided that target hours have been defined (under Company - Configuration Time Recording), the current flextime balance is automatically determined.
Holidays and absences will follow with a later update.
Dossier
The dossier display has been redesigned. To display the preview, you can now click anywhere on the entire line. Several documents can be imported at once.
Invoicing
Actions
The actions for settlement, payment, resetting, etc. are located a little further up in the three-point menu. As before, the primary action is signalled via the blue button and depends on the settlement status and any selections.
No changes have been made to the available actions. Only the "Retroactive payment" has been included in the extended actions. The action was somewhat too hidden in the previous version and led to support requests. Subsequent payments are only possible for employees who have already left and are used, for example, to pay out forgotten bonuses retrospectively.
Settlement overview
In the settlement overview, there is now a filter option according to wage type. This makes it easier to separate employees on hourly wages or monthly wages. Furthermore, any payroll dates and several payment runs can be carried out. The prerequisite is - as in previous versions - that they all refer to the same payroll month. A month is only closed after all wage types have been paid (for the month-end closing, the selection must be cancelled or set back to "All").
With a right click, columns can be hidden or shown in the settlement overview. The column width can be adjusted with the mouse. Amount columns show a total at the bottom. These also react to selections (wage type or individual selections). As in previous versions, the amounts in the panel on the right (payroll information) always show the values for the entire month - regardless of selections.
Clicking on a row / person opens a side panel on the right edge. Various actions can be carried out via the blue button and the three-point menu next to it. These always refer to the selected person. Clicking on "Details" takes you to the payroll details for employees who have been paid.
The number of hours worked can be recorded in the side panel.
Settlement details
The payroll details show the wage types contained in the payroll as before. Details can now be shown or hidden via a button. By clicking on a line, a wage type (payroll type)can be adjusted or deleted, provided that the wage type allows editing.
Additional wage types are added to the payroll via the blue button in the top right-hand corner.
It is now possible to switch directly to the person in the personnel master by clicking on the employee name.
Furthermore, it is possible to display the PDF payroll directly from the payroll details or to create an individual payment for the person currently being processed. The corresponding actions can now be found at the top right via the three-point menu.
Time Recording
The new menu item "Time Recording" serves to provide an overview of the recorded working hours and also enables corrections or entries from the employer's side. For the administration of flextime, target hours must be defined under Company - Configuration Time Recording.
Further functions (holidays, transfer to payroll, recording employee side, etc.) will follow with future updates.
Company
Time Recording Configuration
A new addition is the page Time Recording Configuration. Before current and future time recording functions can be used, the following steps are necessary:
- Enter year
- Define target hours
- Enter working days
- Check holidays
The target hours apply to all weekdays marked as working days.
A daily flexitime balance is calculated based on the target hours and the working hours logged on the employee. For employees with a degree of employment below 100%, the target hours are applied pro rata.
By using the three-point menu in the top right-hand corner, lectures can be booked. The balances carried forward overwrite the balance as of the 1st of the selected month. The balances carried forward can be used to transfer existing flextime balances or to start an entry during the year. Example: Balance carried forward as of 08.2023, overtime carried forward, value 0.00 for employee x. --> The flextime balance for employee x is 0.00 after saving the carry forward on 1.8.2023.
In the second tab "Settings", it can be determined whether overtime and extra hours are to be shown separately.
If the regulation for statutory breaks is activated, the necessary breaks are automatically deducted from the hours worked. If this is not desired, the break regulation must not be activated.
Furthermore, the basic holiday entitlement can be defined either for all employees or depending on the age group. However, the administration of holidays and absences will only follow with future updates.
Evaluations
In the Evaluations section, the preview is now displayed next to the report parameters instead of below them.
Allgemein
The main navigation on the left-hand side of the page can now also be minimised and creates a little more space on small monitors.
The start page can now also be customised via the three-point menu at the top right (Edit Dashboard).
- Arrange content
- Show and hide content
- Add more widgets
- Configure (depending on widget)
Reset Dashboard resets the home page to the system default.
The selection of so-called widgets is currently still reasonable. We are happy to receive requests or suggestions for further new widgets.
