The AbaNinja release on December 10 includes several optimizations in the areas of document capture, accounting, and employees, which make everyday work more efficient and transparent.
New document templates
The document templates (e.g., customer invoices) are available in a new version and can be adopted step by step for each user. During a transition phase, it is possible to switch back to the previous template, allowing for a flexible transition.
Advantages of the new templates:
- New items can be added directly via an icon, including selection of the item type.
- When leaving the template, a warning is displayed if there are any unsaved changes.
- Services in orders are displayed in a consolidated manner, which improves the overview.
- Performance has been significantly optimized, especially for many items.
- The new generation of templates uses the same API that is also available as the public AbaNinja API, thus allowing for uniform integration with third-party systems.
Account assignments
The previous account suggestions are now called account assignments and have been significantly revised in terms of both functionality and operation. The configuration is much leaner and easier to understand, which simplifies the setup of automatic postings.
Migration to flexible chart of accounts (beta, subject to a fee)
It is now possible to migrate from a fixed SME chart of accounts to a flexible chart of accounts structure, even if there are already entries in the account. The function is available as a “beta” in the 3-point menu, is intended for advanced users, and is subject to a fee.
Please note: After migration, account assignments must be regenerated and reconfigured so that automatic posting works correctly.
Accounting inbox
If a posting cannot be made due to missing account assignments or incorrect entries, these cases are now collected centrally in the accounting inbox. The accounting inbox can be accessed on the “Account statement” page via the bell button in the upper area and displays all posting problems centrally. Problems can be solved there and then triggered again for posting.
Employees
The UI in the Employees area has been redesigned to make master data and time recording clearer and more modern. In addition, there is now a field for job titles and the option to add an employee photo, which completes the personnel master data.
