How does other employment or part-time work affect the withholding tax deduction?

Part-time and entry/exit during the month

In the event of entry/exit during the month, the rate will be adjusted. In the case of part-time work, no projection is made unless further income is earned from other employment contracts.

Multiple employment contracts

In principle, employees should inform the employer about possible other secondary employment. The employer can then configure the master data accordingly in the "Withholding tax" section of the HR master (Other employers / Substitute income). Depending on the other employment, a degree of employment in % or an amount in CHF must be entered.
